Jaw-some shark party

Let’s talk about a major milestone from this past week. My baby turned 3 and I can’t believe how fast he’s growing!! We hyped it up for weeks before his actual birthday and Zander was CHOMPING (shark reference 😊) at the bit to party when the day finally arrived.

This year’s birthday was a SHARK THEME and, per Z, his “great white shark party” was FIN-tastic (again, see what I did there 😂)!! All jokes aside, I had so much fun planning all the details from the decorations, to the food and entertainment. We were able to capture so many of the party details. This was probably my favorite of Z’s birthday parties to date and I know that he had a total blast CHUMMING it up with all his buds and family!! It was TOTALLY JAW-SOME!!

Walking into the main room, the shark in the net was the focal point. Adding to the mood, we had the blue tooth playing under the ocean sounds.

We added the customized birthday banner to our flat screen TV. This was just the right amount of decoration for the living area as family and friends sat to visit.

Zander and his buds has a smaller table set for eating and snacking.

The bounce house kept all the kids busy for the entire party. Great fun and a good way to get the energy out of this group!

The birthday boy was all smiles for his JAW-some birthday party!

Food was served on the bar for casual grazing and included submarine sandwiches (Publix sub platter), shark fins (chips), a Shark-cuterie board of meats and cheese, fish eggs (grapes), fish food (veggie platter) and Ocean Water Shark Punch (a mixture of Blue Hawaiian Punch and 7up).

The ball pit and bounce house were the major entertainment during the party. We placed them side by side so the little ones were easily able to go from one to the other.

The “Great White Shark Fin” cake was absolutely delicious. We also had fin cupcakes for the smaller children.

Mommy Shark and Daddy Shark with the birthday boy! How is my baby so grown!!!??

These sensory bins are an Amazon find. Sensory bins were set up with water beads on one side and kinetic sand on the other. I stocked the bins with smaller shark and shell toys so that kids could dig for them with sand shovels.
