TIPS FOR DISNEY WORLD

We did it again! The Mann Fam hit up the “happiest place on Earth”, Disney World!! This is actually Zander’s second visit and now that he’s a bit older, he was able to enjoy it even more. Staying near the Disney property, we were able to enjoy a few days at the park. This definitely helped out when we needed to take a break and rest, or wanted to get to the park first thing in the morning for an early start.

Getting to Disney is always half the battle but after catching the tram and walking through the gates onto Main Street USA, we were ready to get started. How can you not get excited when you catch a view of Cinderella’s Castle?? See the smiles on our faces!!?? I’m not gonna lie, we had a few “unhappy” faces by the end of each day from total exhaustion :) That was totally to be expected when attempting a day that is FULL of activity with a 2 year old. Some of our (Z’s) favorite rides were the classic It’s A Small World (rode that one twice), Buzz Lightyear, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Carousel and Safari ride.

There are a few staples at Disney that we cannot pass up and are traditions since I was a kid and one specifically is snacking on an enormous turkey leg!! The Florida weather is perfect this time of year and since it was Disney off-season, we avoided some of the overcrowding that happens during peak. This pregnant mama made it a point to dress in comfortable clothes and shoes. Overall we had a wonderful time at the park!

Some DISNEY TIPS that are worth saving:

  • Stay on property at a Disney resort or hotel that the monorail runs through. This makes it easier to zip back and forth from the hotel to the park for breaks, naptime, etc.

  • There are tons of stores within the vicinity of Disney where you can find Disney/Mickey themed toys and swag at a much cheaper price than within the park. Grab a toy for your little one prior to going to the park so that when they ask for items within Disney World, you can pull those out and show them that you already have a toy.

  • Wagons are not allowed within the park so make sure to check stroller restrictions prior to arriving so you’re not stuck renting a space to store stuff you can’t take in.

  • Pay for the Disney Genie+ service. It’s totally worth it and will make your entire visit easier to navigate, especially when using the Lightening Lane to save time waiting in line.

  • If you’re visiting Animal Kingdom, you can catch an Uber from your hotel straight to the front of the park and save a lot of time spent on parking.
