30A Beach Recap
This summer’s trip to Santa Rosa Beach was another one for the books!! The blue water and white sands of 30A are literally like no other. We really hit the sweet spot of weather this time of year because it was not overly hot and the breeze coming off the water felt amazing!! Time spent near the ocean is truly therapy for the soul and sitting on the sand listening to the waves relaxes me like nothing else. Being in my last trimester of pregnancy, I had the best time soaking in sun while watching Chandler teach Zander how to boogie board and catch a few waves.
We reserved a home on Airbnb that was large enough for some extended family and the kids probably spent more time in the pool than swimming at the beach. When traveling, our meals are pretty much in line with what we do when at home. Not a lot of eating out but lots of cooking homemade meals!! We did packs tons of PB&J sandwiches though for days down at the beach. Why is it that a PB&J tastes so much better at the beach and is the best thing ever!!??
Driving around town on the golf cart is great to take a break from the hotter mid-afternoon sun. One of our favorite stops is Sundog Books in Seaside. It’s an independent bookstore that is loaded with great reads as well as finds for the kiddos such as puzzles and watercolor books. Another fan fav is the Donut Hut donuts. The family always loves to wake up to these delicious treats of classic and specialty flavor donuts.
I’ve shared all the styles I wore during this year’s trip before Baby #2 arrives next month. I’m certain that most of my outfits this pregnancy weren’t maternity but carefully selected pieces that were bump friendly!! My bump was definitely my biggest accessory this season😊
