Asheville Recap
This year we decided to take a long weekend trip to Asheville, NC for Halloween/My Birthday. The weather was chilly which meant I could wear sweaters and snuggle up by the fireplace! The orange and yellow leaves, along with a cozy cabin, definitely set the fall scene for a picture-perfect end to the month of October. We toured the Biltmore House in all it's glory and they were beginning to decorate for Christmas...it was gorgeous! Another highlight of the trip was a visit to Grandad's Apples 'N Such 100-acre farm and apple orchard where we drank hot apple cider while enjoying the cooler weather (there may have been a few hot cider donuts involved too ;) There were so many fun activities for the family!! Zander was all over that place and was in heaven at the pumpkin patch and corn maze!! For my Birthday, which also happens to be Halloween, Chandler took us to Looking Glass Falls in the Pisgah National Forest for a surprise visit. The cascade of falls is breathtaking and it was a special moment to be back here since our family has grown to three. Exploring the falls and forest was refreshing and being out always gives me a sense of renewal!! The day ended with a bang as we sported our best Halloween attire (Disney's Zenon and Proto Zoa) and collected bags of candy at Biltmore Village. October 2022 ranks among the best in my book!
